Newton St. Loe
WBF worked for the Duchy of Cornwall to provide four retirement homes for estate workers or residents of Newton St. Loe. The high-quality terrace was completed in the local style and designed as a simple row of four single storey cottages.
The cottages are differentiated from one another with projecting porches built with oak posts on staddle stones, supporting individual truss variations. Despite appearing small in stature, the cottages have space for three bedrooms, two in the roof space and one on the ground floor to provide single storey living for the residents.
