The practice was commissioned to design a new house in Bath, on a site which has fantastic views across the city. Enjoying such a prominent position, it was important to deal with the context sensitively. Set on a steep slope, the design takes advantage of the stunning views to the south, while maintaining a modest appearance from the road.
The blend of traditional and contemporary detailing ensures that the house sits comfortably in the context while maximising the potential of the site. The combination is continued internally to create a spacious and comfortable family home.
